The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA will be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regard to the significant number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to the lack of infrastructure sassa at Fernie and there is no totally functional office focused on service the area each day. The support position designed for sassa status intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, that makes it difficult with the office to attend to all people who take a look sassa at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more assets to empower the servicing of all clients and improve entry to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
